Objective

By the end of this lesson, Ily will have a better understanding of different types of birds, their habitats, and characteristics. Ily will also develop skills in art, writing, math, physical activity, and science through engaging activities centered around birds.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and colored pencils or crayons
  • Books or articles about birds (can be found online)
  • Measuring tape or ruler
  • Space to move around for physical activities
  • Access to a garden or park for observation (if possible)

Before the lesson, make sure to gather information about local birds and their habitats. Familiarize yourself with some fun bird facts that can be shared during the lesson.

Activities

  • Bird Watching: Take a walk outside and observe any birds you can find. Make a list of the birds you see and note their colors and sizes.
