Objective

By the end of this lesson, Kaden will learn the basics of playing Minecraft, including how to move around, gather resources, and build simple structures. He will also understand the importance of creativity and teamwork in the game.

Materials and Prep

• Minecraft game installed on a computer or gaming console
• A comfortable gaming setup (chair, desk, etc.)

Activities

• Exploring the World

  Start by creating a new world in Minecraft. Let Kaden explore the environment, looking at trees, mountains, and water. Encourage him to run around and discover different biomes.

• Gathering Resources

  Teach Kaden how to gather basic resources like wood and stone. Show him how to punch trees to collect wood and mine stone. Explain the importance of these resources for building and crafting.

• Building a Simple House

  Once Kaden has gathered some resources, guide him in building a simple house. Use wood for walls and a roof, and encourage him to add a door and some windows. Discuss how a house keeps the player safe from nighttime monsters.

• Creative Mode Fun

  Switch to Creative Mode, where Kaden can build anything he imagines without worrying about resources. Encourage him to create a fun structure, like a castle or a treehouse, and express his creativity!
