Activities

Finger Counting Game: Use fingers to represent different numbers. Ask the student to show a number with their fingers, then compare it with your number. For example, you can show 3 fingers, and they can show 5 fingers. Ask, "Which one is greater?"

Animal Counting: Pretend you have different animals (like 2 cats and 5 dogs). Ask the student to count them and compare. "Do we have more cats or more dogs?"

Equal Groups: Gather some toys (like blocks or stuffed animals). Create two groups and ask the student if they are equal. If not, ask how many more are in one group than the other.

- "When we say one number is greater than another, it means it is bigger! Like 5 is greater than 3!"
- "If I have 2 apples and you have 2 apples, we have the same amount! That means they are equal!"
