Activities

- Provide the student with a dragon-themed reading passage. Ask them to read it silently and underline any unfamiliar words.
- Discuss the passage with the student, asking questions to check comprehension and encouraging them to share their thoughts and opinions.
- Ask the student to identify the main characters, setting, and plot of the story. Have them write a brief summary of the passage, including these story elements.
- Encourage the student to analyze the dragon's role in the story. Have them write a paragraph explaining how the dragon impacts the plot and other characters.
- Provide the student with another dragon-themed reading passage. This time, ask them to annotate the text by highlighting or underlining important details or events.
- Discuss the annotated passage with the student, focusing on the significance of the highlighted elements and how they contribute to the overall story.
- Ask the student to write a short response to the passage, discussing their favorite part and explaining why it stood out to them.
