Objective

Materials and Prep

- Ensure a safe space for movement, like a living room or backyard.
- Prepare to use your voice to create different sounds and emotions.
- Think of different feelings or moods to explore, such as happy, sad, excited, or scared.
Activities

Musical Movement:
Play a game where you play different types of music. When the music is happy, dance joyfully. When it’s slow, move slowly and gently. This helps express different feelings through movement!

Emotion Charades:
Take turns acting out different emotions without using words. For example, show what being excited looks like or how someone might move when they are sad. The other person guesses the emotion!

Story Dance:
Choose a simple story or fairy tale. As you tell the story, act out the characters with movements. For example, if a character is jumping for joy, jump around! This helps connect movement to storytelling.

Nature Walk Movements:
Go outside for a walk and pretend to be different animals. Move like a hopping frog, a slithering snake, or a soaring bird. This encourages imaginative movement based on natural stimuli!
