Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will learn about the Arctic Ocean, including its animals, environment, and importance. The student will also create a fun art project inspired by the Arctic Ocean.
Materials and Prep

- Crayons or colored pencils

- Glue (if available)
- Scissors (if available and safe to use)
Before starting the lesson, it’s good to know that the Arctic Ocean is very cold and is home to many unique animals like polar bears, seals, and whales. You can also mention that icebergs float in the water!
Activities

Animal Drawing:
Start by drawing your favorite Arctic animal! Use crayons or colored pencils to make them colorful. Talk about what the animal looks like and where it lives in the Arctic Ocean.

Iceberg Craft:
Using paper, create an iceberg by cutting out a triangle shape and coloring it white or light blue. You can glue it to another piece of paper and draw the ocean around it!

Story Time:
Read a short story about the Arctic Ocean or an animal that lives there. After reading, talk about what you learned from the story and what was your favorite part.
