Objective

By the end of this lesson, Isa Vitoria will explore various subjects including Language Arts, Social Studies, Geography, Science, History, Bible Study, Arts and Crafts, Music, Dance, and Portuguese Language. She will engage in creative activities that enhance her understanding of these subjects while having fun!

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and colored pencils or markers
  • A globe or world map
  • Books or articles related to the subjects
  • Piano or keyboard for music activities
  • Space for dancing
  • Craft supplies (glue, scissors, construction paper)
  • Access to a Bible or Bible storybook
  • A notebook for journaling
  • Resources for learning Libras (videos or books if available)

Activities

  • Creative Writing: Isa will write a short story that includes elements from her favorite subjects. She can choose to incorporate characters or places from her studies, making it a fun mix of everything she loves!

  • World Explorer: Using a globe or map, Isa will pick a country to research. She will learn about its culture, geography, and history, and then create a colorful poster to share her findings.

  • Science Experiment: Isa can perform a simple science experiment, like making a volcano with baking soda and vinegar. She will observe the reaction and write about what she learned.

  • Dance and Music: Isa will choose a song to play on the piano and create a dance to go along with it. She can perform her dance while playing or sing along!

  • Craft Project: Isa will create a craft that represents a story from the Bible. This could be a diorama, a drawing, or a collage using various materials.

  • Sign Language Practice: Isa will learn a few basic signs in Libras and practice them with a family member. She can create a short dialogue using the signs she learned.

  • Language Fun: Isa will practice her Portuguese by writing a few sentences about her day. She can then illustrate her sentences with drawings.
