Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand the concept of the creation of the world.

Materials and Prep

  • Storybook about creation (e.g., "In the Beginning" by Jan Pienkowski)
  • Construction paper
  • Markers or crayons
  • Scissors

Prior to the lesson, familiarize yourself with the story of creation and gather the necessary materials.

Activities

  1. Read the storybook about creation to the student, stopping at key points to ask questions and engage in discussion.
  2. After reading, ask the student to draw their favorite part of the creation story on the construction paper using markers or crayons.
  3. Assist the student in cutting out their drawing and encourage them to share what they have created.
