Objective

Materials and Prep

• Paper
• Colored pencils or crayons
• A comfortable space to sit and work
• Knowledge of a specific historical period (e.g., Ancient Egypt, the American Revolution, etc.)

Activities

• Story Time:

  RR will read a short story or a biography about a historical figure from the chosen period. This can be done together, discussing the important events and characters.

• Create a Timeline:

  RR will draw a timeline of important events from the historical period studied. This will help visualize the sequence of events and their significance.

• Role Play:

  RR can choose a historical figure to role-play. This will involve acting out a scene or explaining their role in history, which will make learning fun and interactive.

• Art Project:

  RR will create an art piece related to the historical period, such as drawing a famous landmark or an important event. This allows for creative expression while reinforcing what was learned.
