Materials and Prep
- Blank paper
- Coloring materials (crayons, markers, colored pencils)
- Books or online resources about animals and creatures
No prior knowledge or preparation is necessary for this lesson.
Activities

Animal Drawing
Ask the toddler to choose one of their favorite animals or creatures. Provide them with the blank paper and coloring materials. Encourage them to draw the animal or creature as creatively as they can. Once they finish, ask them to describe their drawing and what they like about the animal or creature.

Storytelling Time
Select a few different animals or creatures from the books or online resources. Show pictures or describe them to the toddler. Ask the toddler to choose one of the animals or creatures and create a story about it. Encourage them to use their imagination and include details about the animal's habitat, appearance, and behavior. After they finish their story, ask them to share it with you.
