Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will understand the basic storyline and themes of Five Nights at Freddy's, as well as develop their creative thinking and storytelling skills by creating their own character and mini-story set in the game's universe.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and pencils for drawing and writing.
  • Access to a computer or tablet (optional for research).
  • Knowledge of the Five Nights at Freddy's game series and its characters.
  • A quiet space to focus on activities.

Activities

  1. Character Creation:

The student will design their own animatronic character. They can draw it on paper and write a short description of its personality and backstory. Encourage them to think about what makes their character unique and how it fits into the Five Nights at Freddy's world.

  2. Mini-Story Writing:

Using their created character, the student will write a short story or scene that involves their character in a spooky scenario. This could be a night shift at Freddy's or an encounter with another character from the game.

  3. Role-Playing:

The student can act out their story or create a dialogue between their character and existing characters from the game. This will help them explore character motivation and interaction.

  4. Discussion Time:

After completing the activities, have a discussion about the themes of fear, friendship, and survival in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. The student can share their character and story, discussing what they enjoyed most about creating them.
