Objective
By the end of this lesson, Jeniffer and Dominique will have a clear understanding of what a doula is, the various roles they play in the birthing process, and the qualities that make a good doula. They will engage in discussions and reflect on their thoughts about becoming a doula.
Materials and Prep
- One copy of the reference book (pages 2-5)
- Journals for reflection entries
- Whiteboard or flip chart for brainstorming
- Markers
- Comfortable seating arrangement for discussions
Before the lesson, ensure that the space is organized for group discussions and that all materials are readily available. Familiarize yourself with the content on pages 2-5 of the book to facilitate discussion effectively.
