Activities
- Show the toddler the Aussie rules football picture book and explain that it is a popular sport in Australia.
- Point to the pictures of different football positions and teach the corresponding Mandarin Chinese words for each position.
- Use the printed pictures of football actions to demonstrate and teach the Mandarin Chinese words for kicking, marking, and handballing.
- Draw a football field on the whiteboard or large paper and label the different areas in Mandarin Chinese, such as "goal square" and "center circle".
- Play a simple game of charades where the toddler acts out different football actions while you guess and say the corresponding Mandarin Chinese words.
