Start by showing your fingers. Count them together, saying, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5!" Encourage your child to wiggle their fingers as they count.

Gather 5 toys and ask your child to help you count them. Say, "Let's count our toys together! How many do we have?"

Snack Time Counting
Use snacks like crackers or fruit pieces. Ask your child to count how many they have before eating, saying, "Can you count your snacks? How many do you want to eat?"

Simple Addition with Toys
Take 2 toys and then add 1 more. Ask, "How many toys do we have now?" Let your child count them again.
