Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will learn about Prince Kuhio, his contributions to Hawaiian history, and how he worked to improve the lives of Native Hawaiians. The student will also express their understanding through creative art activities.

Activities

Start the lesson by reading a short story or biography about Prince Kuhio. Discuss what makes him special and why he is an important figure in Hawaiian history.

Have the student create a colorful poster of Prince Kuhio. They can draw him in traditional Hawaiian clothing or create a scene that represents his contributions, like the establishment of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act.
