Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create fun beach-themed crafts and decorations for a beach party day.

Materials and Prep

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons
  • String or yarn
  • Seashells or small pebbles
  • Optional: glitter, stickers, or other decorative materials
  • Prepare a space for crafting and decorating

Activities

  • Create a beach scene collage using construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers or crayons. Cut out shapes of waves, sun, sand, and palm trees, and arrange them on a larger piece of paper to create a beach scene. Color and decorate the shapes as desired.
  • Make a beach-themed necklace or bracelet using string or yarn and seashells or small pebbles. Thread the string through the holes in the shells or tie them onto the string. Be creative with the arrangement and patterns.
  • Create beach party invitations using construction paper, markers or crayons, and decorative materials. Fold the paper in half to make a card and decorate the front with beach-related drawings or stickers. Write the party details inside, such as date, time, and location.
  • Decorate a beach bucket or pail using markers or crayons, and optional glitter or stickers. Draw beach-related designs, such as waves, seashells, or a beach ball, on the bucket. Add glitter or stickers for extra sparkle.
