Materials and Prep
- Dice (at least one)
- Paper
- Pencil or crayons
No prior knowledge is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Roll the dice and write down the number that appears. Repeat this a few times to practice recognizing and identifying numbers.
- Write down the number words for the numbers you rolled. For example, if you rolled a 4, write down the word "four".
- Create a word search puzzle using dice-related words. Write the words vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, and fill in the remaining spaces with random letters.
- Read aloud a dice-related story or book together. Pause occasionally to ask questions about the story and engage in discussion.
- Draw a picture of a dice and label each side with a different word related to dice. Practice reading the words out loud.
