Objective

Materials and Prep

Activities

  1. Introduction to ABC mouse (5 minutes): Show the student how to access ABC mouse on the computer or tablet. Explain that ABC mouse is an interactive learning platform that offers a wide range of reading activities.
  2. Letter recognition (10 minutes): Guide the student to the letter recognition section on ABC mouse. Encourage them to identify and say the names of different letters. Help them practice tracing the letters using their finger on the screen.
  3. Word building (15 minutes): Explore the word building activities on ABC mouse. Assist the student in constructing simple words using letter blocks or by dragging and dropping letters. Encourage them to sound out the letters and blend them together to form words.
  4. Reading comprehension (10 minutes): Choose a story or a reading passage on ABC mouse. Read it aloud to the student and ask them questions about the story. Help them identify key details and understand the main idea.
  5. Story creation (15 minutes): Engage the student in creating their own story using the story creation tool on ABC mouse. Encourage them to use their imagination and incorporate the letters and words they have learned. Assist them in adding illustrations and reading their story aloud.
