Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand and apply basic arithmetic concepts through fun activities related to STEM flowers.

Materials and Prep

  • STEM flowers (can be made with construction paper or drawn)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons

Before starting the lesson, make sure the STEM flowers are prepared and ready for use.

Activities

  1. Create STEM flowers: Cut out flower shapes from construction paper or draw flowers on paper. Decorate them with markers or crayons.
  2. Add petals: Cut out petals from colorful paper or draw and color them. Glue the petals onto the flowers.
  3. Count petals: Count the number of petals on each flower and write the numbers on the flowers.
  4. Add stems: Cut out green stems from paper or draw and color them. Glue the stems onto the flowers.
  5. Arrange flowers: Arrange the STEM flowers in different patterns or designs.
