Objective

Materials and Prep
- Scissors
- Paper
- Pictures of cats (printed or drawn)
Make sure the scissors are child-friendly and safe to use. Have enough paper and cat pictures for the activities.
Activities
- Introduction: Show the student different pictures of cats and ask them to identify the animals. Discuss what they know about cats and their characteristics.
- Scissor Practice: Demonstrate how to hold the scissors correctly and safely. Guide the student in cutting snips in a piece of paper. Encourage them to practice cutting different lengths and shapes.
- Cat Collage: Provide the student with a sheet of paper and a variety of cat pictures. Instruct them to cut out the cat pictures and glue them onto the paper to create a cat collage.
- Story Time: Read a cat-themed story to the student. Encourage them to identify and point to the pictures of cats in the book.
