Activities
-
Word Hunt
Choose a book or a magazine and find at least five words that you don't know how to spell. Write each word down on a separate piece of paper. Then, using a pencil, try to spell each word correctly. Check your spelling using a dictionary or by asking an adult for help.
-
Spelling Bee
Ask an adult or a sibling to give you a list of ten words to spell. Write down each word on a piece of paper, leaving enough space between each word. Use your pencil to spell each word correctly. After you finish, have the adult or sibling check your spelling.
-
Create Your Own Story
Think of a fun and imaginative story that you would like to write. Start by writing the title of your story at the top of a piece of paper using your pencil. Then, as you write your story, make sure to spell all the words correctly. Take your time and enjoy the process of creating your own story!
