Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a visual artwork inspired by the game Cookie Run: Kingdom, while gaining an appreciation for art and its connection to popular culture.
Materials and Prep
- Drawing paper or sketchbook
- Pencils, erasers, and colored pencils or markers
- Access to images or screenshots from Cookie Run: Kingdom
- Optional: a computer or tablet to play the game for inspiration
Activities
- Introduction to Cookie Run: Kingdom (10 minutes)
Discuss with the student the concept of the game and its visual style. Show them some screenshots or images to familiarize them with the characters and settings. - Brainstorming and Sketching (15 minutes)
Encourage the student to brainstorm ideas for their artwork inspired by Cookie Run: Kingdom. They can choose to recreate a character, design a new character, or illustrate a scene from the game. Provide them with drawing paper or a sketchbook, and have them sketch out their ideas. - Coloring and Detailing (20 minutes)
Once the student has finalized their sketch, they can start adding colors and details using colored pencils or markers. Encourage them to pay attention to the visual elements in the game and incorporate them into their artwork. - Reflection and Appreciation (10 minutes)
After completing their artwork, have the student reflect on the process and discuss what they appreciate about the art style and visuals in Cookie Run: Kingdom.
