Before starting the lesson, familiarize yourself with different types of dinosaurs and their characteristics.
Activities
- Introduce the concept of dinosaurs and their importance in history. Show pictures or read a book about dinosaurs to engage the student's interest.
- Discuss different types of dinosaurs, their names, and unique features. Encourage the student to ask questions and share their knowledge.
- Guide the student in creating their own dinosaur artwork. Provide construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers or crayons. Encourage them to use their imagination and creativity.
- Allow the student to cut out dinosaur shapes from the construction paper or draw their own dinosaurs. Assist them in attaching the shapes to a background or creating a collage.
- Encourage the student to add details and colors to their dinosaur artwork using markers or crayons.
- Display the finished artwork and have a discussion about the student's creation. Ask questions about their choices and what they learned about dinosaurs through their artwork.
