Activities
- Read a Dinosaur Book: Start the lesson by reading a dinosaur book together. Encourage the student to actively listen and ask questions about the different types of dinosaurs mentioned in the book.
- Dinosaur Coloring: Provide the student with dinosaur coloring sheets. Let them choose their favorite dinosaurs to color. While they color, discuss the names of the dinosaurs and their characteristics.
- Dinosaur Matching Game: Create dinosaur flashcards by cutting out pictures of different dinosaurs from books or printouts. Mix up the cards and play a matching game with the student. As they find matching pairs, have them read the name of the dinosaur aloud.
- Create a Dinosaur Collage: Give the student construction paper, glue, and additional dinosaur printouts. Have them cut out the dinosaurs and glue them onto the paper to create a dinosaur collage. Encourage them to write or dictate labels for each dinosaur.
