Materials and Prep

Activities

1. Build a cell model:

   Using Lego bricks, create a model of a cell. Pay attention to the different structures within the cell, such as the nucleus, mitochondria, and cell membrane. Take notes on the functions of each structure as you build.

2. Create a food chain:

   Use Lego bricks to represent different organisms in a food chain. Arrange the bricks to show the flow of energy from producers to consumers. Discuss the roles of each organism in the food chain and how energy is transferred.

3. Explore genetic traits:

   Build Lego characters with different physical traits, such as hair color, eye color, and height. Discuss how these traits can be inherited from parents and passed on to future generations. Explore the concept of dominant and recessive traits.
