Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to read and comprehend basic information about dinosaurs.

Materials and Prep

  • Dinosaur books or online resources
  • Writing materials (paper and pencil)

Activities

  1. Introduce the topic of dinosaurs and ask the student what they already know about them. Write down their responses.
  2. Read a dinosaur book together or explore an online resource about dinosaurs. Encourage the student to ask questions and engage in discussions about the information.
  3. After reading, have the student choose their favorite dinosaur and draw a picture of it. Ask them to write a sentence or two describing the dinosaur.
  4. Review and discuss the student's drawing and description. Help them with any spelling or grammar corrections if needed.
  5. Encourage the student to share their drawing and description with a family member or friend.
