Materials and Prep

- Printed or online resources about the human body
Before starting the lesson, make sure to have the printed or online resources ready for reference.
Activities
- Read a Book: Start the lesson by reading a children's book about the human body. Discuss the different body parts and their functions as you go along.
- Label the Body: Draw a simple outline of a human body on a piece of paper. Using the colored markers or crayons, label the different body parts such as head, arms, legs, etc. Practice writing the labels neatly.
- Body Part Descriptions: Choose a body part from the labeled diagram and write a description of its function. For example, describe the purpose of the eyes, ears, or nose. Use descriptive language and complete sentences.
- Create a Body Poem: Write a poem about the human body. Include at least five different body parts and describe their functions or characteristics in a creative and fun way. Use rhymes or rhythm to make the poem engaging.
