Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Pot or container for planting
  • Soil
  • Seeds or seedlings of your choice
  • Watering can or spray bottle
  • Sunlight or grow lights
  • Gardening gloves (optional)
  • Access to water source
  • Research and gather information about the specific plants you want to grow

Activities

  1. Choose the plants you want to grow for your horticulture project. Research their growing requirements, such as sunlight, water, and temperature needs.

  2. Prepare the pot or container by filling it with soil. Make sure the soil is suitable for the plants you have chosen.

  3. Plant the seeds or seedlings according to the instructions provided. Take care not to overcrowd the container and provide enough space for each plant to grow.

  4. Water your plants regularly, making sure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Use a watering can or spray bottle to avoid overwatering.

  5. Place your plants in a location where they can receive adequate sunlight or use grow lights if necessary. Monitor their growth and make adjustments as needed.

  6. Observe and record the growth of your plants over time. Take note of any changes, challenges, or successes you encounter during the process.

  7. Maintain your horticulture project by continuing to water, provide sunlight, and address any issues that arise. Enjoy the process of nurturing and caring for your plants!
