Objective

By the end of this lesson, the toddler will be able to understand basic concepts of health education related to dinosaurs.

Materials and Prep

  • Dinosaur toys or pictures
  • Whiteboard or paper and markers
  • Optional: Dinosaur books or videos

Activities

  1. Introduce the concept of dinosaurs by showing the toddler dinosaur toys or pictures. Talk about what dinosaurs are and how they lived long ago.

  2. Discuss the importance of physical activity for a healthy body. Encourage the toddler to imitate dinosaur movements, such as stomping like a T-Rex or stretching like a Brachiosaurus.

  3. Draw a simple dinosaur on the whiteboard or paper. Ask the toddler to name body parts of the dinosaur, such as head, legs, and tail. Explain that just like dinosaurs have different body parts, humans also have different body parts that need to be taken care of.

  4. Talk about healthy eating habits. Show pictures of different types of food and ask the toddler to identify which ones are healthy choices for a dinosaur and which ones are not. Emphasize the importance of eating fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious foods.

  5. Wrap up the lesson by summarizing the key points discussed and asking the toddler to share one thing they learned about dinosaurs and healthy habits.
