  • Writing materials

Activities

  1. Research and Presentation: Ask the student to choose a notable woman from history who made significant contributions to society. They should research her life, achievements, and the impact she had on her time period and beyond. The student should then prepare a short presentation to share their findings with the class.

  2. Letter Writing: Have the student imagine they are a woman living during a time of social change, such as the suffrage movement or the feminist movement. Ask them to write a letter expressing their thoughts, concerns, and aspirations during that time. Encourage them to use historical context and personal insights to make the letter engaging and impactful.

  3. Discussion: Engage the student in a class discussion about the challenges and triumphs women faced throughout history. Encourage critical thinking by asking questions such as: How did societal norms and expectations impact women's lives? What strategies did women use to effect change? How did their contributions shape society?
