Objective

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have all the materials ready and set up a workspace.

Activities

  1. Create a Halloween-themed collage:

    • Take the orange and black construction paper.
    • Use the scissors to cut out Halloween shapes like pumpkins, bats, and witches.
    • Glue the shapes onto a larger sheet of paper to create a spooky collage.
  2. Explore color mixing:

    • Take a piece of orange construction paper and a piece of black construction paper.
    • Use the scissors to cut out small squares or circles from each paper.
    • Overlap the orange and black shapes and observe what happens to the colors.
    • Discuss how mixing colors can create new colors and how orange and black can make a dark shade.
