Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and describe Halloween-themed objects, characters, and activities through reading and discussion.

Materials and Prep

  • Halloween-themed books or stories
  • Writing materials (pencils, crayons, or markers)

Activities

  1. Read a Halloween-themed book together.
  2. Choose a book that is appropriate for your grade level and interests. As you read, encourage the student to pay attention to the different characters, objects, and activities related to Halloween.

  3. Discuss the story and ask questions.
  4. After reading the book, engage in a conversation about the story. Ask questions such as:

    • Who were the main characters in the story?
    • What were some Halloween-themed objects mentioned in the book?
    • What activities did the characters participate in during Halloween?
  5. Create a Halloween-themed drawing or writing.
  6. Based on the book and the discussion, have the student create a drawing or write a short description of their favorite Halloween-themed object or activity. Encourage them to use their imagination and be creative.
