Spooky Word Hunt
Write down the following Halloween-related words on separate pieces of paper: pumpkin, ghost, witch, bat, candy, spider, costume, haunted, October. Hide the words around the room or in your backyard. Take turns with a family member or friend to find the hidden words. Once you find a word, read it aloud and spell it correctly. Keep track of how many words you find correctly.

Spelling Bingo
Create a 4x4 grid on a piece of paper. Write down 16 different Halloween-related words in the grid, one word per square. Use the words from the previous activity or come up with new ones. Take turns with a family member or friend to call out a word. If you have that word on your grid, spell it correctly and mark it off. The first person to get four words in a row, column, or diagonal wins!
