Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to write a descriptive paragraph about a Warhammer 40,000 character or battle scene.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper
  • Pencil or pen
  • Warhammer 40,000 rulebook (optional)

Prior knowledge of Warhammer 40,000 lore and characters is helpful but not required.

Activities

  1. Choose a Warhammer 40,000 character or battle scene that interests you.
  2. Take some time to think about which character or scene you would like to write about. You can choose a well-known character like Space Marine Captain or create your own unique character.

  3. Brainstorm descriptive words and phrases.
  4. Write down a list of descriptive words and phrases that come to mind when you think about your chosen character or scene. Think about their appearance, actions, and the emotions they evoke.

  5. Write a draft of your descriptive paragraph.
  6. Using the descriptive words and phrases from your brainstorming, write a draft of your paragraph. Try to paint a vivid picture in the reader's mind by using descriptive language and sensory details.

  7. Revise and edit your paragraph.
  8. Read through your draft and make any necessary changes to improve the flow and clarity of your writing. Check for spelling and grammar errors.

  9. Share your paragraph with a family member or friend.
  10. Read your final paragraph out loud to someone else. Listen to their feedback and make any final revisions.
