Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to spell and understand key vocabulary related to Warhammer 40,000.

Materials and Prep

  • Pen or pencil
  • Paper or notebook
  • Access to a computer or device with internet
  • Warhammer 40,000 rulebook or any related reading material (optional)

Prior knowledge of Warhammer 40,000 is helpful but not required.

Activities

  1. Research and Vocabulary

    Using a computer or device with internet, research Warhammer 40,000 and find at least 10 key terms related to the game. Write down the terms and their definitions in your notebook. Make sure to pay attention to the spelling of each term.

  2. Word Search

    Create a word search puzzle using the key terms you gathered in the previous activity. Write the terms in a grid, filling in the remaining spaces with random letters. Share the word search with a family member or friend to solve.

  3. Spelling Bee

    Choose 5 of the key terms from your list and organize a spelling bee with a family member or friend. Take turns spelling the words out loud and see who can spell the most correctly. Use the definitions you wrote down to help you remember the correct spelling.
