Transitional-Kindergarten Grade Talking Points
- "Today, we are going to have fun with Hot Wheels cars while learning about math!"
- "Let's count how many Hot Wheels cars you have. Can you show me the number on the whiteboard or paper?"
- "Now, let's sort the cars by color or type. Count how many cars are in each group and write down the numbers."
- "Next, we will race two Hot Wheels cars. Measure how far each car goes and compare the distances. Which car went farther?"
- "Now, let's do some addition and subtraction with Hot Wheels cars. Take two different cars and write down the number of wheels on the whiteboard or paper. Add the numbers together and write down the total. Then, subtract the number of wheels of one car from the other and write down the difference."
- "Great job today! You had fun with Hot Wheels and learned some math along the way. Keep practicing and exploring with numbers!"
