Objective

Activities

  1. Read the Story: Begin by reading the selected book or short story about dolls aloud to the student. Encourage them to follow along and pay attention to the details in the text.
  2. Discuss Key Details: After reading, engage in a conversation with the student about the story. Ask questions such as:
    • Who were the main characters in the story?
    • Where did the story take place?
    • What was the problem or conflict in the story?
    • How was the problem resolved?
  3. Retell the Story: Have the student retell the story in their own words. Encourage them to include important details and events from the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
  4. Draw and Write: Ask the student to choose their favorite doll from the story and draw a picture of it. Then, have them write a sentence or two describing the doll and why they like it.
