Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Dragon-themed picture book or short story
  • Dragon coloring pages or drawing materials
  • Pencils and paper
  • Dragon-themed stickers (optional)

Activities

  1. Introduce the topic of dragons and ask the student what they already know about them. Encourage them to share their thoughts and ideas.
  2. Read the dragon-themed picture book or short story together. Pause occasionally to ask questions and check for understanding.
  3. After reading, have the student draw or color their own dragon based on the story. Encourage creativity and imagination.
  4. Ask the student to write a short sentence or two describing their dragon. Help them with spelling and sentence structure as needed.
  5. Optional: Give the student dragon-themed stickers as a reward for their participation and effort.
