By the end of this lesson, you will be able to engage in reading activities related to Peppa and improve your language arts skills.

Materials and Prep

  • Peppa-themed books (e.g., Peppa Pig: My First Library)
  • Peppa coloring pages or Peppa-themed worksheets
  • Crayons or colored pencils
  • Scissors

Activities

  1. Read a Peppa Pig book together: Choose a Peppa-themed book from your collection and read it aloud to your child. Encourage them to follow along and ask questions about the story.
  2. Retell the story: After reading the book, ask your child to retell the story in their own words. This helps develop their comprehension and storytelling skills.
  3. Peppa coloring page: Print out a Peppa coloring page or provide a Peppa-themed worksheet. Let your child color the page while discussing the characters and elements from the story.
  4. Letter recognition: Write down the names of Peppa characters on separate pieces of paper. Ask your child to identify the first letter of each character's name. For example, if the character is Peppa Pig, they should identify the letter "P".
  5. Letter sounds: Choose a few characters from the story and ask your child to name the sound that the first letter makes. For example, if the character is Daddy Pig, they should say "D" for the sound "duh".
