Materials and Prep

Activities
-
Warm-up: Tree Stretch
Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart and arms by your sides. Slowly raise your arms above your head, stretching them towards the sky like the branches of a tree. Hold the stretch for a few seconds and then slowly lower your arms back down. Repeat this stretch 5 times.
-
Tree Balance Challenge
Stand on one leg and try to balance like a tree. Imagine your lifted leg as the trunk and your arms as the branches. See how long you can hold your balance. Switch legs and repeat. Challenge yourself to balance for a longer time each round.
-
Tree Tag
Choose one person to be the "tree" and the rest of the players as "leaves." The tree stands in the center while the leaves try to avoid being tagged by the tree. If a leaf is tagged, they become part of the tree. The game continues until all the leaves have been tagged or until a predetermined time limit is reached.
