Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to read and comprehend a short story about Lego.
Materials and Prep
- Lego bricks
- A printed copy of the short story (see Activities section)
Activities
- Building with Lego: Start the lesson by allowing the student to freely build with Lego bricks. Encourage creativity and imagination.
- Read the Story: Read the short story about Lego to the student. Ask them to listen carefully and follow along with the text.
- Story Discussion: After reading the story, engage the student in a discussion. Ask questions such as:
- "What was your favorite part of the story?"
- "Who were the main characters in the story?"
- "What do you think happened next?"
- Retelling the Story: Have the student retell the story in their own words. Encourage them to use complete sentences and include important details.
- Writing Activity: Ask the student to draw a picture of their favorite scene from the story and write a sentence or two describing it.
