Objective
By the end of this lesson, the toddler will be able to identify different types of dinosaurs and understand some basic facts about them.
Materials and Prep
- Pictures or toys of various dinosaurs
- Whiteboard or paper and markers
- Internet access (optional, for additional research)
Activities
- Show pictures or toys of different dinosaurs and ask the toddler to name them if they can. Discuss the different features of each dinosaur.
- Draw a simple dinosaur on the whiteboard or paper and ask the toddler to identify its body parts (head, body, tail, legs, etc.).
- Ask the toddler to imitate the sounds that different dinosaurs might have made. Encourage them to be creative and have fun with it!
- Research more about dinosaurs together using books or the internet. Look at pictures, watch videos, and discuss interesting facts about different dinosaurs.
