Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to analyze and interpret a Barbie dream house story, demonstrate comprehension skills through discussion, and practice critical thinking by creating their own Barbie dream house story.

Materials and Prep

  • Barbie dream house book or story
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper

Activities

  1. Read the Barbie dream house story together.
  2. Discuss the plot, characters, and setting of the story. Encourage the student to ask questions and share their thoughts and opinions.

  3. Engage in a comprehension activity.
  4. Ask the student to summarize the story in their own words. Discuss the main events, conflicts, and resolutions. Encourage them to identify the theme or message of the story.

  5. Create a new Barbie dream house story.
  6. Ask the student to imagine their own Barbie dream house story. They can draw a picture or write a short paragraph describing the plot, characters, and setting of their story. Encourage them to be creative and use their imagination.
