Kindergarten Grade Talking Points

  • "Today we are going to make our own cat costume for Halloween!"
  • "First, we need to measure the size of our head. Can you help me measure the circumference of your head using this measuring tape?"
  • "Next, we will use the black construction paper to draw and cut out two cat ears. Can you show me how to draw a cat ear shape?"
  • "Now it's time to decorate the cat ears! You can use markers or crayons to make them look fancy. What colors do you want to use?"
  • "Great job! Now we need to attach the cat ears to the elastic string. Let's use some glue to stick them together."
  • "Measure and cut the elastic string to fit around your head. Can you show me how to measure and cut the string?"
  • "Almost done! Now we just need to secure the elastic string to the back of the cat ears. You can use glue or tape to hold it in place."
  • "Finally, try on your cat ears and see if they fit well. If not, we can make some adjustments. How do they feel? Do they stay on your head?"
  • "Congratulations! You have successfully made your own cat costume for Halloween. You can now meow and purr like a real cat!"
