Materials and Prep
- No materials required.
- Prior knowledge of the alphabet and basic reading skills.
Activities
Start by singing a song about body parts. Encourage the student to join in and point to the corresponding body parts as they sing.
Read a book about body parts together. Pause after each page to discuss and ask questions about the body parts mentioned in the story.
Play a game of "Simon Says" using body parts. Give instructions such as "Simon says touch your nose" or "Simon says wiggle your toes". Encourage the student to follow the instructions and name the body parts as they perform the actions.
Provide the student with a worksheet or coloring page that features different body parts. Ask them to color each body part and label it with its name.
