Prior to the lesson, familiarize yourself with the Halloween-themed books and prepare the flashcards.
Activities
- Read Halloween-themed books together: Choose a few age-appropriate Halloween-themed books and read them aloud to the student. Encourage them to follow along and point out any Halloween-related words they recognize.
- Identify Halloween-related words: Use the flashcards with Halloween-related words and show them to the student one by one. Ask the student to identify the word and say it aloud. Repeat the process until they are familiar with all the words.
- Create a Halloween word collage: Provide the student with paper, crayons, scissors, and tape. Ask them to draw and color Halloween-related objects or characters. Help them cut out the drawings and tape them onto the paper to create a Halloween word collage.
