- Color Mixing: Show how to mix primary colors to create secondary colors. For example, mixing red and yellow makes orange.
- Painting Techniques: Demonstrate different painting techniques such as brush strokes, dabbing, and blending colors.
- Subject Selection: Let the student choose a subject for their painting, such as a flower, animal, or landscape.
- Painting Time: Provide the student with the materials and encourage them to create their own painting using the techniques learned.
- Show and Tell: Once the painting is complete, have the student share their artwork and explain their creative choices.

- "How can we create different textures and effects in our painting? Can you think of any techniques we can use?"
- "What subject would you like to paint? Why did you choose that subject?"
- "Can you explain your painting to me? What colors did you use? How did you use the painting techniques we learned?"
