- A selection of children's books with colorful illustrations
- Printouts of famous paintings

- "What do you think the colors represent?"
- "How do the illustrations make you feel?"
-
Show the printouts of famous paintings to your child.
Talk about the different styles and colors used in each painting. Ask questions like:
- "What do you notice about the colors in this painting?"
- "How does this painting make you feel?"
- "Do you think the artist used any special techniques to create this painting?"
-
Encourage your child to create their own painting inspired by the book or the famous paintings.
Provide them with the painting supplies and let their imagination run wild.
While they are painting, ask open-ended questions to stimulate their creativity, such as:
- "What story are you telling with your painting?"
- "Why did you choose those colors?"
- "What do you want people to feel when they look at your painting?"
