Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and pronounce basic phonics sounds.

Materials and Prep

• Letter flashcards (A-Z)
• Whiteboard or paper
• Markers or crayons

Activities

1. Introduce the letter sounds:

   • Show the letter flashcards to the student one by one.
   • Ask the student to repeat the sound of each letter after you.
   • Repeat this process until the student can correctly identify and pronounce all the letter sounds.

2. Practice letter sounds:

   • Write a few letters on the whiteboard or paper.
   • Ask the student to say the sound of each letter.
   • Encourage the student to practice writing the letters as well.

3. Play a phonics game:

   • Choose a few letters and ask the student to find objects around the house that start with those sounds.
   • Have the student share their findings and say the sound of each object.
