Activities

Start by showing the world map to the student and explain that it represents the Earth.

Ask the student to name different places they have heard of or visited. Write down their responses on a blank paper.

Using colored pencils or markers, help the student color each place on the map that they mentioned.

Discuss with the student why those places are important and what ideas come to mind when thinking about them. Encourage them to think about different cultures, landmarks, or natural features associated with those places.
